Freighter travel - The different way of travel combined with some Wine tasting is tempting. The Australian Wine Industry is the fourth largest exporter of wine around the world and many people probably have been looking on the web for possible ways of travelling between Asia and Australia. Sea Travel Limited might have the solution. Our freighter voyage is with departure from one of the Asia's must see destination Taiwan to first port in Western Australia - Fremantle. The itinerary also inlcudes Melbourne (Victoria), Sydney (New South Wales region) and Brisbane (Queensland) and continues from there up towards South Korea (Pusan) visiting three Chinese ports (Shanghai, Ningbo, Shekou) before again touching Taiwan. The whole journey is approximately 35 days but section reservations are possible and we recommend travellers to consider reserving space well ahead because of the popularity of the journey and destinations.

Australian and Chinese visas would be required depending on citizenship of travellers. Australian visa can be obtain online through the Internet Visa Services Australia. The site will allow you to apply for a short term visa for travel to Australia.

Cargo Ship Travel between Australia and Singapore or Port Kelang

Some good news for travellers wishing to visit Australia and Asia. A new service has been announced that 2 vessels are already employed in service between a few ports in Australia and possibly New Zealand to Singapore and Port Kelang. The service was discontinued for some time but has now resumed carrying passengers to the destinations. The vessels depart from Fremantle, Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide and take passengers to Singapore or Malaysia only. Section reservations between Australia and Asia are only possible.

There is also a possibility the vessel will call New Zealand on the next departure as current schedules show stops at Auckland; Lyttelton; Port Chalmers and Tauranga but ports are not yet confirmed on furture trips.
