Travel from Europe to Australia or New Zealand and vice versa on a cargo boat via the Suez Canal

For those wishing to travel to Australia or New Zealand without flying we can easily arrange a passage onboard a cargo ship.

Sea Travel Limited can offer passages via US and the Panama Canal or via Malaysia and the Suez Canal.

Panama Canal departures are from Tilbury, UK; Rotterdam, The Netherlands; Dunkerque, France or Le Havre. Duration to Sydney are respectively 45/43/42 or 41 days and duration to Napier respectively 53/51/50/49 days. There are departures approximately every 2 weeks and 4 vessels employed in the service.

For this particular passage US Visa type B1/B2 would be required for all passengers with Citizensship other than United States, Australian visa as well as yellow fever vaccination certificate.

To obtain US Visa passengers have to telephone US Embassy and arrange an appointment for a personal interview.

Suez Canal Departures possibility will be by making a connection voyage. There are regular departures from Southampton or Hamburg to Port Klang, Malaysia with duration respectively 25/23 days and connecting ships from Singapore to Fremantle or Port Chalmers - duration 9 or 26 days. Departures from Singapore to Australia and New Zealand are approximately every 3 weeks with two vessels employed.

For this service yellow fever vaccination would be required as well as Australian visa.

Australian visa can easily be obtained via Internet and is usually an electronic visa with a confirmation number sent via email.
